Halfpipe skiing has been approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for the 2014 games in Sochi Russia. This event is awesome for atheletes, and will help move the Freestyle skiing scene more into public spotlight. The FIS also pushed for the addition of Slopestyle skiing to the Olympics, but the olympic committee has decided to postpone a decision on adding slopestyle skiing to the Olympics.
